Timon Names Gavin Farrell Athlete of the Year

Sean McDermott, Bills Head Coach looks on as Gavin Farrell is named Athlete of the Year

Timon's Athlete of the Year Award is a long-standing tradition named after Paul "Coach Fitz" Fitzpatrick '66. Timon's Athlete of the Year needs to be in good academic standing and must exhibit leadership, dedication, and sportsmanship.  The Paul Fitzpatrick Timon Athlete of the Year separates himself as a major contributor in practices and games and understands what Timon stands for and wears the Green and Gold proudly.

Gavin Farrell is an elite competitor for the Timon Hockey and Lacrosse Teams.  He earned 2nd Team All-Federation in hockey and was a two-time All-Catholic selection for lacrosse including being named to the First Team this year.  Timon's Head Lacrosse coach, Brian McNulty commented "Gavin is an excellent example of how hard work combined with a willingness to adapt can lead to success."

Gavin has earned a scholarship to play lacrosse at Mercyhurst University and in the words of Athletic Director Joe Licata, "a student Coach Fitz would have loved to coach." Gavin is the son of Brendan and Stacie Farrell of Orchard Park, New York.
