BISHOP TIMON-ST. JUDE HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS AND NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Michael J. Burns appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees

 

BUFFALO, NY – Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School today announced the appointments of new officers and board members to the school’s Board of Trustees.

Michael J. Burns (‘89) was appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees.  Burns is Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration at the University at Buffalo.

Michael Kobis (‘82) was appointed to Vice Chairman and is Corporate Controller at Ellicott Development Company. 

Patrick Finucane (‘79) was appointed Treasurer; he is Chief Financial Officer at Sinatra Development Company. 

Bernard “BJay” Ryan (‘98) was appointed Secretary and is a physical therapist at Ascend Physical Therapy Group.

The appointments to the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees also include:

·         Timothy Kelly (‘75) – Superintendent of St. Mary’s School for the Deaf

·         Robert Maggio (‘73) – Entrepreneur and Business Owner

·         Steve Hietenan (’80) – DDS –  Orthodontists Associates of WNY (Ex-Officio to the Board)

In addition, John Gaughan (‘89), Edward Cotter (‘77) and Catherine Gavin (Parent Guild President) have joined the Board of Trustees as full members.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with such committed and accomplished alumni and Timon supporters as we work together to continue to implement the various components of our strategic plan,” said Burns.  “We are confident in the pathway we have created through our strategic plan for long-term viability in order to achieve our collective vision for our beloved school.”
