Buffalo City Comptroller Mark Schroeder was invited to be interviewed by WTSJ, Timon's own radio/tv station.
Freshman Manny McClain conducted the interview and asked Mr. Schroeder various questions about his career and the memories he had while at Timon. "I always wanted to attend Bishop Timon because my father was in the first graduating class of 1950, I keep in touch with some of my classmates and have connected with Ricky "Fly" Williams throughout the years." After graduating from Buffalo State College with a degree in History, Schroeder began his political journey after working in the private sector, "I wanted to serve others and eventually became the Erie County Legislature. Schroeder went on to become the Comptroller of the City of Buffalo and as he explained to Manny, is responsible for three divisions within the office; Audit, Accounting and Debt Management.
When asked where the Comptroller sees himself in five years, he answered, "continuing to ensure the City of Buffalo neighborhoods are safer!", "Timon is where I'm from and I will never forget where I started!".
