The students of Timon and Mount Mercy Academy, members of Timon's Drama Club, finally got to show off all of their work to sell-out crowds with Little Theatre's production of "Murder by Indecision" this past weekend.
The plot of the play shows how age has caught up with Agatha Crispy, the world’s best-known mystery playwright, as she attempts to crank out her newest and last manuscript. With senility setting in, the words just aren't flowing like they used to. Attempting to ignore her pestering agent Ruth Less, Agatha sits down to write, wrestling with her characters and babbling to her imaginary friend Typy, the typewriter. As she struggles through the first few pages of her play, Miss Maple, Inspector Dryfus and all her characters come to life on stage, then crumple with every balled-up page tossed into the trashcan. When she stops typing, her characters take on a life of their own, lamenting how Agatha is ruining their reputation in the literary world with this last flop of a manuscript.
After the completion of writing the play, and with Agatha's old age finally catching up to her, upon her death, Agatha joins the characters she has created.
Congratulations to all on a job well done!
