After World War II, the Diocese of Buffalo formulated plans to establish a Catholic High School System. The Most Rev. John F. O'Hara, C.S.C., former President of Notre Dame University, came to Buffalo in 1946 to assume his position as Bishop of Buffalo. With a strong educational background, Bishop O'Hara embarked upon the Diocese's ambitious campaign to provide low cost quality Catholic education to the families of Buffalo.

All of us here at Bishop Timon - Saint Jude High School are proud of our 61 year tradition of educating young men in the Catholic Franciscan tradition. Our alumni, now numbering over 8,000 have distinguished themselves by serving the Buffalo and Western New York Community in the public and private sectors, in business in law, medicine, the Church, industry and governments. We are quite proud of their many accomplishments.

Bishop Timon - Saint Jude High School has completed an ambitious four year Capital Campaign to improve the academic and physical life of the school. We have established a new Advanced Placement curriculum, a zero tolerance homework policy and student incentive program. Our physical plant now boasts a new 6000 square foot Center For Media & The Arts, which includes new music and art studios, graphic design, video production as well as our own sound recording studio. In Sept. 2003, our new Science and Pre-Engineering Center opened and feature state of the art science and laboratory facilities that mirror those found in university and hospital centers, and an AP Conference & Technology room.

Our technology advances include the renovation of our two computer labs and placement of computers throughout the building, making access to technology more readily available to our students. Our building is now completely wired for Internet use.
