Admissions

Acceptance:

Timon uses a rolling admissions policy. Eighth graders may apply at any time in the school year. Applications can be obtained in each grammar school or by calling 826-3610 ext.237. Eighth graders who apply before November of each year will be notified in January of their acceptance. Acceptances are based on the results of the Admissions Exam, each applicant's marks for grade six, seven and eight, and letters of recommendation.

Admission Exam:
The Placement Exam is given to eighth grade students each November. This year it will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 8:30 am. The fee is $20. The “make-up” exam may be given by appointment. Acceptance letters will be mailed on Thursday, January 23, 2009. Call or email Ms. Felger for further information.

Scholarships:
A number of academic scholarships are offered to incoming freshmen who excel in their course work in grammar school and score in the top percentile on the admissions exam.

Tuition Assistance:
Financial aid and work-study are offered on a need-basis. Financial aid applications are available in November. Each applicant is notified of his award along with his acceptance letter in January. Call or email Ms. Felger for further information.

Registration:
Registration for the class of 2013 will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2009, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and Monday, February 9, 2009, 6:00 pm -8:00 pm.

Shadow Opportunities:
Interested eighth graders may spend the day along with one of our students. For further information call or email Ms. Felger.

Transfer Students:
Transfer applications are available through the Admissions Office, and require a copy of the student transcript to be sent from his current school. For further information call or email Ms. Felger at 826-3610 ext. 237.

Tuition for 2007-2008:
The Board of Trustees has approved tuition for the 2008 -2009 academic year at $6,000 + $645in fees.
