During this joyous season, we reflect on the many blessings of our Bishop Timon-St. Jude community. Throughout December, we gathered for weekly Advent prayer services to reflect on the meaning of Advent and prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. These moments of prayer and reflection reminded us of the true spirit of the season—hope, peace, joy, and love.
Our school was also filled with holiday cheer on this last day of school as the chorus and band performed fun filled Christmas songs, Geometry classes were making ornaments, and the AV Club hosted their annual Christmas show, showcasing the incredible talent and creativity of our students.
May the spirit of Christmas fill your hearts with peace, joy, and hope. Wishing all of our students, families, and supporters a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Last week, Dr. Halter's chemistry and physics classes took on the challenge of making their own ice cream from scratch in their newest class experiment! Students applied the principles of freezing point depression, system vs. surroundings, and endothermic vs. exothermic chemical reactions in order to create something sweet!

WWSFD? After spending the month of October studying the life and the heart of St. Francis of Assisi, our ninth and tenth grade Religious Studies students wrote about the good things they thought St. Francis might do if he was living in Buffalo in 2024. They then used Canva’s AI image generator to help make what they imagined come to life. With ideas ranging from rebuilding closing churches, to helping find homes for stray animals, to caring for the homeless living downtown— our Timon men are in touch with their Franciscan hearts.
Attached are pics of students at work on the project and some of the AI images produced with the help of our students' imaginations.

Mr. Hansgen's English 11 Honors students recently read about Ben Franklin’s role in debating the Constitution. As a follow-up, they were tasked with delivering passionate and persuasive speeches on topics of their choice, such as online censorship, electric cars, gambling, and modern society. Each student had to not only argue their stance but also acknowledge the valid points of the opposing side, demonstrating critical thinking and balanced perspectives. It was a great exercise in refining their public speaking and debate skills
